Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mounteer and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Leonard heloed Mrs. Joe Scorzato cele-brate her 'birthday anniversary on April 23. Mrs. Mounteer brought a cake which she 'baked which later was served with coffee. iMr. and Mrs. Joe Scorzato spent the day Sunday in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Nick Dokos. On their way home they stopped to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gobbis of West Jordan. Monday visitors at the Joe Scorzato home were John Xaiz Jr. and son Skeeter of Midvale. 'inGIILAND BOY! Mr. and Mrs. Nick A. Yengich entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of their nephew, Bobby jrerelle, on his 15th birthday an-niversary. Besides those men-tioned above, others enjoying the occasion were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Peielle, his brother John and sister No-ree- n, and Nicky, Kay, Ronnie, and Linda Yengich. Mr. and Mrs. George Bullock and family moved to Murray this week, where they have purchas-ed a home. Their new address is 5136 South 2nd West, Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Shea and fa-mily and Mrs. Beverly Shea and sons of Midvale visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keysaw Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Attelio Azzelio and son Tony ' visited Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Nichol of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Smilanich and Mr. and Mrs. Milan Smilan-ich of Salt Lake City spent Sun-day visiting at the home of their mother, Mrs. Milka Smilanich. Joe Rakich attended both days (last 'Wednesday and Thursday) of the state P-T- A convention in Salt Lake City. On Thursday he was chairman of one round table discussion. Ralph Beck and Glenn Gra-ham of Midvale spent Tuesday and Wednesday visiting with 'Dr. Philip Fulstow at Kanab. Jack Hawkins, Bob Beck and Bill Hennings attended the Am-erican Legion convention at Too-ele last Saturday night. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rakich were Mr. and Mrs. Luby Bodgen of Eureka. Jack Hawkins attended the 1956 camera carnival at New-hou- se hotel Wednesday evening. Monday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scor-zato were Mr. and Mrs. C. E. (Chick) Adderley and daughter new P-T- A officers for next year who are: Mrs. Fidel Gallegos, president; Mrs. Stanley Loader, vice president, and Mrs. Sergio Garcia, secretary and treasurer. Retiring officers are Mrs. Burl Barton, president; Mrs. Alfred Sanchez, vice president, and Mrs Veldon Gray, secretary-treasure- r. After the business meeting, a bazaar was held and refresh-ments were sold. Bingo was played and enjoyed by all in at-tendance. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sanchez spent last Thursday in Salt Lake City. Joe Miya and Teddy Kawa-guc- hi spent Wednesday fishing at Utah Lake. A surprise stork shower was given for Mrs. Bob Ivie at her home 'by members of her card club Monday night. Besides the honor guest, those present were Mrs. Lou Nepolis, Mrs. Myrlene Burke, Miss Alice Ivie, Mrs. Al-ton Ivie, Mrs. Agnes Ivie, Mrs. Inez Jaterka, Mrs. 'Helen Eggett, Mrs. Mary Miya and Mrs. Rulah Bryce. Cards were played with prizes going to Mrs. .Nepolis, Mrs Miya and Mrs. Alton Ivie. Re-freshments of cake, ice cream, punch and coffee were served. The honored guest received many nice gifts. Two opening songs were rendered by Jeanne Sanchez ac-companied 'by Toni Stewart, and the prayer was offered by Mrs. Grace Carr. Reading of the min-utes of the last meeting and the financial report was given by Mrs. Veldon Gray. Report of the nominating committee was giv-en iby Mrs. Moriso Ogawa. Lovely refresh-ments were served to eleven of-ficers and members. Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Cushing and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Murano spent the afternoon and enjoyed dinner in Salt Lake City Sunday. A marriage license was issued in Salt Lake County recently to Eustaquio Gonzales, 24, and Mary Ruth Leyba, 20, both of Bing-ham. Mrs. Arthur Bentley is vaca-tioning, in California for two weeks. She is visiting with re-latives in El Monte, Los Angeles and Burbank. Mrs. Edra West was hostess to nineteen members of the (Fire I Auxiliary Monday night. Bridge was played with prizes going to .Mrs. Eva West, Mrs. Pearl Sehultz and Mrs. Faye Prigmore. Lovely refreshments were serv-ed. Hostess next Monday night, May 7th will be Mrs. Lois Hick-man. Monthly stake dance will foe held at the West Jordan stake-hous- e on Saturday evening. May 12th. Admission 50 cents per per-son. Mrs. John Tangaro entertain-ed on Tuesday evening of last week for members of her 'bridge club. Mrs. R. L. Cunliffe was a special guest. Prizes were won by Mrs. Frank Zaccaria, Mrs. Robert Davis and Mrs. Dan Oe-lane- y. Dainty refreshments were served. Dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bentley and son Bobby were Mrs. Bentley's sister and husband, Mr. and Mr3. Far-r- el Kinney and children of Mur-ray. Ruth Rebekah lodge met Tues-day evening at the Civic Center as guests of Mrs. Guy Delia Lu-cia. Members attending practic-ed for the president's visitation third Tuesday this month will be work da.y, it was reported. The monthly bingo sponsored by the Lark Lions club was held Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Lions hall. Mrs. Carrie Reed returned home Saturday, April 28th from 'Mesa, Ariz., after a seven week stay. Accompanying her home were her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Welby Rushton of Mesa. They will hold elections for next year's officers Wednesd-ay, May 9th. The 500 club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Carrie Doyle of Bingham Monday evening, April 30. Winning prizes at cards were Mrs. Anna Murray, Mrs. Lil Marshall and Mrs. Mary Grossman. Others enjoying the evening were Mrs. Gayle Gress-ma- n, Mrs. Leola Peterson, 'Mrs. Delta Turner and 'Mrs. Lottie Dalley. Mrs. Alice Burke was a special guest. Lovely refreshm-ents were served. Airs. Juanita Michaelscn and daughter, Anna Von, of Midvale were visitors in Lark Sunday. Lark School P-T-Lark iP-T- A installed their new officers for the coming year Mon-day evening, April 30. The sixth grade gave the program and the grade school band played mus-ical selections. Mrs. Zelline Stev-ens, president, was presented with a P-T- A president's pin and a small gold gavel. Mrs. Betty Gilkim installed the new officers. Due to the conflict of activiti-es, the Woman's League of Vote-rs will meet on Wednesday, May 16th. As they cut, they can simply sweep things into the bag and keep their working surface clear. When cutting time Is over, no clean-u- p is needed except to toss the bag with scraps into the waste basket. If you have many newspapers and magazines In your home, buy a small size clothes dryer and set THIS WEEK'S RECIPE Apricot Marshmallow Cream (Serves 6-- IVi cups apricot whole fruit nectar. 4 cup sugar Few grains salt 2 teaspoons plain gelatin 1 egg 1 teaspoon lemon Juice 14 cup heavy cream 4 marshmallows Heat 1 cup nectar with sugar and salt. Soften gelatin in re-maining nectar. Separate egg and beat yolk slightly. Add to hot mixture, cook and stir over low heat until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and blend in softened gelatin and lemon juice. Cool until thickened. Beat egg white until stiff. Whip cream until stiff. Cut marshmallows Into small pieces. Fold egg white, cream and marshmallows Into gela-tin mixture. Turn Into individ-ual molds and chill until firm. it up to hold both papers and mag-azines. Check through them once a week and discard what's been read. Before doing any peeling or slicing, spread a paper towel on the working surface. When you're finished, simply wrap the parings and toss them away, leaving a clean surface without wiping. Chlorine bleach in powdered form is easy to use. Add soma water to it, place white materials in it for a few minutes to brighten them. |
