PUBLIC NOTICES ljJ BECAUSE THE PEOPLE MUST KNOW ORDINANCE 51 An Ordinance amending Sections 2-17, 2-18, and 2-19 2-19 of the City of Milford Revised Re-vised Ordinances, 1968, relating re-lating to animal control. BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OF MILFORD, MIL-FORD, UTAH: Section 1. That the follow- ing portion of Section 2 -17 of the revised ordinances of the City of Milford, Utah relating relat-ing to regulating dogs shall be revised to read as follows: fol-lows: That it shall be unlawful for any owner to allow or permit any dog, whether licensed or not, to be or remain upon streets or . alleys of the City of Milford, Mil-ford, Utah, or in any public pub-lic place in the City of Milford, or upon any premises without the consent of the person in possession of such premises unless: 1. Such dog shall be in the charge of a person and controlled controll-ed by a LEASH not to exceed ten (10) feet in length, or unless: un-less: 2. Such dog shall be confined in a motor vehicle. 3. Or, such dog shall be confined upon its owner's premises. It shall be unlawful to keep, maintain, harbor or possess upon the premises of any one household more than two (2) dogs, and two(2)cats. Section 2. That the following follow-ing portion of Section 2-18 of the revised ordinances of the City of Milford, Utah relating to regulating the licensing li-censing and vaccination of Dogs, shall be revised to read as follows: ' That cats shall be licensed licens-ed and vaccinated the same as dogs. Section 3. That the following follow-ing portion of Section 2-19 of the revised ordinances of the City of Milford, Utah, relating to regulating dogs and providing for the enforcement en-forcement thereof, shall be revised as follows: MISDEMEANOR. PENALTY. PEN-ALTY. Any person violating vio-lating any of the provisions provi-sions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, misdemean-or, and upon conviction convic-tion thereof shall be punished pun-ished by a fine of not more than Twenty -Five ($25.-00) ($25.-00) for the first offense, of-fense, Fifty Dollars ($50.00) upon conviction of the second offense, and One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) upon the conviction con-viction of the third offense. of-fense. Section 4. In all particulars particu-lars excepting as provided in Sections 1-3 providedhere-in, providedhere-in, Chapter II of the Revised Revis-ed Ordinances, 1968 of the City of Milford shall remain unchanged. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force the 1st day of Novem -ber, 1978. Passed by City Council of the City of Milford, Utah, on this 18th. day of Sept. 1978.
