A work party last Friday and Saturday, Sat-urday, planted quite a few trees and shrubs around the D-E monument. Over $500 worth of trees have been purchased pur-chased for planting. The group invites other organizations to take on a section (large or small) and help develop the park. A new sprinkling system will be installed on the upper part of the park before planting plant-ing that area. Individuals who wish to give donations, trees or develop de-velop small plots, may have a plaque placed in their name or in memory of a friend or relative. A large boulder boul-der will be placed in a prom -inent place on which to mount the plaques. Final details of the Swap Meet planned for June 10th will be .planned. The Swap Meet helps raise funds to continue the work at the park. |
