Show MHS BOOSTERS PLAN PROJECTS; SELL TICKETS The Milford BoostersClub met last Thursday to deter -mine fund raising projects. The school has ordered a set of dumb-bells for the weight room, at a cost of over $2,000 dollars. The Boosters committed themselves to raising $400 of this amount. The school, Lettermen's Club, and possibly pos-sibly the Board of Education, Educa-tion, will also participate. A motion passed ending the Charter Member date on November 30. Anyone who wishes to be a chartermem-ber chartermem-ber of the club must join before that date. They voted on a quilt fund-raising fund-raising project and they will sell tickets to the first home basketball game with Delta on Nov. 26. The Boosters will receive half the price of each ticket they sell. Principal Pettey reported on Nick Leko's volunteer efforts to repair the Milford track and said it would be recindered. Coach Lee was an All-American trackster and the track program looks good. Comments were made on the tough basketball schedule, sche-dule, and Pettey said the Wrestling squad would go to Uintah to wrestle this year, and watch the Tournament of Champions. No coaches were present. |
