Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Beaver County Coun-ty Clerk, 105 East Center, Beaver, Utah, until 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 1976, and at that time publicly opened for the construction of 1.7 miles of Collector Road in Beaver County, the same being that section of Collector Road Route No. CR -028 from the junction with State Route No. 21 to its junction with the Adamsville Adams-ville turnoff identified as Collector Road Project No. CR 028(2). The principal items it-ems of work are approximately approxi-mately as follows: 6,600 cu. yds. roadway excavation, 3,200 cu. yds. granular borrow, bor-row, 5,000 tons untreated base course, 2,700 tons lignin sulfonate mix, 15,000 gal. lignin sulfonate, 280 tons chips, and miscellaneous CSP culverts for extensions, replacements and new installations. in-stallations. Prequalification of bidders bid-ders Is required. Prior to any bidders receiving plans and specifications it will be necessary that the. bidder have on file with the Utah Department of Transportation Trans-portation completed and approved, ap-proved, the required Prequalification Pre-qualification Statement pertaining per-taining to the contractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to Special Provisions Provi-sions covering subletting or assigning the contract. Hi conformity with, and by authority of Title 34, Chapter 30, Utah Code" Annotated 1953, the general prevailing rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah shall be effective and apply to this project, and are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. i The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that contractors engaged in highway high-way construction work are required to meet the provisions pro-visions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (52 Stat. 1060). The Beaver County Com -mission, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement advertise-ment will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color or national origin. Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Beaver County Clerk, Beaver, Utah and the office of the Project Engineer at 62 North 300 East, Cedar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Spe-cifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the above offices upon up-on application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms, provided by the local agency; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified cer-tified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Beaver County Treasurer, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required.
