Show Zoning, subdivkiQEie got attention of engeeieiiGre and the revised ordinances adopted by Milford City last December. Willey reviewed the ordinances or-dinances under contract with the FCAG and highly recommended rec-ommended either revising the other ordinances or adopting the Milford ordinances ordi-nances as is. Milford's ordinances were written by Ken Millard and are revised from the Model Ordinances drafted by Mountain Moun-tain Area Planners. BLM has indicated that the Milford Mil-ford ordinances is the single mitigating factor in the alu-nite alu-nite environmental impact statement. The Commissioners are anxious to get ordinances passed to eliminate pres ent problems with subdivides subdivid-es who don't want to bring their subdivisions up to acceptable ac-ceptable standards. Without enabling ordinances, they have continual nit-picking problems developing, meeting meet-ing after meeting. All municipalities have agreed to be included in the proposed fire districts and appropriate ordinances were adopted with a public hearing hear-ing set May 6th at 2:00 p.m. A levy for the district will probably not be set before 1977. Ken Joseph and Maude Fairbands met with the Board to provide tuition for the Univ. of Utah school on alcohol and drugs, June 13 18. The County Commissioners Commission-ers kicked off the day with Russel Mayer, County Planning Plan-ning Commission Chairman, discussing the need to move on the zoning and subdivision ordinances and wound up with Jim Gray, the new building inspector, discussing the same thing. The Commissioners are anxious to move on these ordinances, but are stymied by not being able to get the mechanics, or samples before be-fore them to work with. County Attorney John Christensen seems unwilling unwill-ing to do the investigation necessary and has not made the contacts requested in past meetings. Thursday, Christensen was urged to contact John Willey of St. George who is a planner and has reviewed the present zoning ordinances and the model ordinances proposed by Mountain Area Planners, County Treasurer Rondo Farrer met with the Board and told them there wasn't sufficient funds to meet the next payroll. They immediately immedi-ately got on the phone to Beaver City demanding repayment re-payment of money loaned for the lighting project on the south interchange. The money mon-ey is to be reimbursed by the state, but has been held up because Beaver City did not get the work completed as scheduled. In other business they discussed dis-cussed the possibility of a 42-unit condominium being built at Mt. Holly; Passed Ordinance 130 rezoning the Merryweather property in South Milford; Authorized rightaway for Minersville Town to lay pipe for municipal water system; sys-tem; Set a weed meeting for April 15th; Authorized $700 for the Beaver County Stock Show and Range Bull Show; Discussed damage to James Mayer's irrigation pipe. |
