Show South Summit take tournament champs u O t.V w5 1 I They may have been looking look-ing for revenge for the semifinal semi-final loss at the state basketball bas-ketball tournament last year, or maybe they just got to rolling and couldn't quit, but no one can deny that the Wildcats Wild-cats from South Summit came to Milford to play ball last Friday and Saturday and it was a proud team that took home the championship trophy. Milford spotted them twenty points' in the first quarter, 24-4, and never fully ful-ly recovered as the Wildcats came out with the buzzer and pushed a full court press right down the Tigers' throats. At one point the Tigers were down 28 points before starting their comeback. They were sixminutes into the quarter before Milford scored and until those first free throws, the Tigers were having trouble getting the ball across the center stripe, as Jeff Peterson seemed to have more hands than the Milford guards could handle. Milford had 13 turnovers in the first quarter. The 72-62 loss came on the heels of a wild shooting free-for-all on Friday night that saw Milford score 100 points against Lincoln County Coun-ty and Randy Kerr set a personal per-sonal game record for the Tigers of 41 points and 23 rebounds, as the Tigers won 100-80 and gave the reserves reserv-es plenty of 4th quarter playing play-ing time.
