Show Government Grain Available In 14 Utah Counties Utah Senator Frank E. (Ted) Moss said today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agri-culture will make feed grain available at reduced prices for ranchers in 14 counties in Utah. The Senator said Beaver, Carbon, Daggett, Duchesne, Emory, Garfield, Juab, Millard, Mil-lard, Piute, San Juan, Sanpete, San-pete, Tooele, Uintah and Washington counties have been designated for the special spe-cial sale of government-owned government-owned grain. They were among the counties hit hardest by drought last summer. USDA reported to Moss that, "The livestock feed program becomes operative in counties where the Secretary Secre-tary of Agriculture determines deter-mines that severe drought, flood or similar conditions have reduced feed supplies to the point where assistance assis-tance is required to help eligible eli-gible farmers perserve and maintain foundation herds and other eligible livestock. |
