Show BOARD MEETING TAKES CARE OF SCHOOL ROUTINE Superintendent Lynn Has-lem Has-lem reported to the Beaver County School Board at their July meeting that both Beaver Beav-er and Mllford High schools had been approved as special schools by the State Board of Education for the coming year. This means that for special spe-cial reasons the schools will be funded on a weighted student stu-dent basis this year and that consolidation will notbe considered con-sidered for this school year. Haslem also told the Board that the bleachers for the new gyms had been deliveredand were ready to be installed. He said the addition of the gyms would require additional addi-tional custodial help. The Board moved to hire Robert Dean at BHS and Junior Davis Da-vis at MHS. Both will do maintenance and custodial work and Davis will also drive the school bus. The Board agreed to raise the salaries of the Principals by 11 per year. Two BHS teachers' resignations resig-nations were accepted and a contract was offered to another. The wrestling meet for the week of August 15th at Mt. Holly Ski Resort was authorized author-ized by the Board. The BHS FM station has been approved by the FCC, but BHS has not raised the $2,000 to meet their obligation obliga-tion of matching funds. The Board authorized expenditure expendi-ture of its total allocation for the FM station if necessary, neces-sary, so that the equipment can be installed in time to meet tlie FCC requirements.
