' ' : Position The Teachers of Beaver County Education Association met in Miners- ville, Monday, June 24, to discuss further negotiations of salaries. The f Teachers' Association has a new negotiation proposal which they wish to I make to the School Board as soon as necessary arrangements can be made I I to meet with them. )l !It was the opinion of those present to continue to work for a success- ful and speedy conclusion to the salary schedule for the coming year. The teachers are interested and willing to negotiate in good faith, j according to the agreement drawn up and signed by the Beaver County School S Board and the Teachers of. Beaver County. It has been jointly agreed by the Beaver County School Board and the teachers to extend the time for signing 1 of contracts past May 1, 1974, in order to work out a more equitable dls- f , ( tribution of money for salaries. " 1 The teachers Involved have signed a letter of intent, which indicates J 1 their intention to teach in the district next year upon the completion of salary ( negotiations. It is their sincere desire to bring these negotiations to a satis- 11 factory conclusion both for the Board of Education and the teachers. IV , In case the negotiating committee and the Board cannot reach an agree- ment satisfactory to both parties, it may be necessary to utilize the services of outside consultants to help with the negotiations. This system of reaching l an agreement is outlined in the "master agreement" drawn up and signed by the School Board and the Teachers' Association.
