Show CROP SUBSTITUTE PERMITTED IN FARM PROGRAM Substitution provisions for 1971 farm program crops have been outlined by county farm program officials, according to Jeff H. Marshall, Chairman of the Beaver County ASC Committee. Com-mittee. These provisions are important impor-tant to farmers who are now making their final decisions on whether to participate in the 1971 set aside farm programs. Signup for these farm program, will continue through April 9. The 1971 farm substitution provisions pro-visions are as follows: 1. Wheat in excess of the allotment al-lotment may be substituted for corn. EXAMPLE A farm with a zero wheat allotment and a ten acre corn base could plant five acres of wheat and protect his corn base, 2, Feed grains (corn) in excess ex-cess of one-half the feed grain base may be substituted for wheat. EXAMPLE A farm with a five atre wheat allotment and p five acre corn base could plant seven and one-half aores of corn and protect feotli the wheat allotment and corn base, |
