Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gilliam left Monday to attend the funeral fun-eral after receiving .news of the sudden passing of his mother, Mrs. H. T. Gilliam of Athens, Texas. Dr. Lloyd Kohler received word Sunday of the passing of his nephew, Dean Evans, age 24 in a Los Angeles hospital. hospi-tal. Dean was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Myrthus Evans of Los Angeles. Mrs. Evans is the former for-mer Mae Kohler, who taught school here in Milford in 1928 and 1929. Myrthus Evans is the . president of the L.D.S. Temple i.n Los Angeles. Services will beheld be-held in Riverside, Calif, and burial wil be in Malad, Idaho. Ron and Sheila Brinkman and three children, Julie, Debbie and Scott have moved to Milford Mil-ford from Sandy, Utah and they are now living in the former Gene McKee home. Ron has purchased the Standard Service Ser-vice station from Harlan Thomas. Thom-as. All three children are students stu-dents in grade school. Jay Walker and friend, Skip Dacier of Florida who are attending at-tending Utah State College in Logan and Miss Kristine Harris cf Hayward, Calif., who is enrolled en-rolled at B. Y. U. in Provo, were weekend visitors at the home of Jay's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Walker. Miss Harris is a neice of Mrs. Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roberts, attended the funeral of Maude Robison on Wed., Sept. 30, in Kanarraville, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Thomas and daughter, Kara have returned re-turned to make their home in Milford and are living i.n the Morris Grey rental home. Mr. Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Thomas and is employed em-ployed as assayer at the Shield Development Co. Mrs. Thomas is the former Karen Beding-field, Beding-field, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bedingfield. Mrs. Hampton Burke returned recently from Las Vegas where she was the guest of Mrs. Mary Morford, and attended the sessions ses-sions of the Grand Chapter, Order Or-der of Eastern Star, of Nevada. Mrs. Burke returned from Las Vegas with Mrs. Carl Rohn of Boulder City. Nevada, who en- joyed a brief stay in Milford Lefore continuing her trip to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Burke's niece, Miss Sophit McMillen of Denver, Colo, arrived in Milford Mil-ford on October 3 for a visit with her aunt and uncle. Mr. and Mrs. David R. Eppich of Elkhart, Indiana announce the birth of a boy on Sept. 15th. He weighed 9Ibs.-loz. and joins a brother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Walt McCulley of Milford are the grandparents. Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Tomsik and Mrs. Naomi Hughes attended the Relief Society Conference in Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Fernley are vacationing with friends in Salt Lake and Provo this week. Mrs. Wendell Keech spent the weekend visiting their son Max Keech in Las Vegas. Mrs. Florin Bingham left Sunday morning for Downey, Calif., where she will visit her daughter Peggy Johnston and family and other relatives in Long Beach, Riverside a.nd La Puenta. Mrs. Florin Bingham's brothers bro-thers and sisters surprised her with a birthday party, Oct. 1st. Those who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Mosher of Miners-ville, Miners-ville, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins Gil-lins and Mrs. Reed Gillins. A delicious birthday cake with candles and ice cream was served by the group.
