Highway No. 15 From North B.aver Northerly to Dog Valley identified iden-tified as Federal Aid Project No's. I-15-3M5M1'' and 1-15-4-(12)133 1st Contract. The length ot road to be constructed con-structed or improved is 26.515 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 14. COO Cu. Yds. of Borrow, Bor-row, 9350 Lin. Ft. of Reconstructing Recon-structing Existing Guard Rail and 169 Each Breakaway Sign Post Assemblies. The project is to be completed in 80 working work-ing days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and specifications, specifica-tions, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Statement pertaining to contractor's con-tractor's experience and financial finan-cial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions Provis-ions covering subletting or assigning as-signing the contract. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U.S. Department of l abor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. pro-ject. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U. S. Department of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway high-way construction work are re quired to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 S'a'. 1060). The State Highway Department, Depart-ment, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued pursuant pur-suant to such Act, hereby notifies no-tifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be-awarded be-awarded to the lowest responsible respon-sible bidder without discrimination discrimin-ation on the ground of race, color, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Cedar City, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Speci-fications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided pro-vided by the Commission; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid, made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission, Com-mission, as evidene of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder bid-der will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required.
