Show The Wilson family snuck out of town last weekend to absorb some of the color country in Southern Utah. Destination was Bryce Canyon, and we'll have to admit, there's nothing like that out on the coast. Even in the rain which came down in torrents, every time we got out of the car Saturday, it was colorful, beautiful and unique and almost any other descriptive descrip-tive terms that can be mouthed to describe the colors and formations. for-mations. The old press camera got a good workout with Koda-chrome Koda-chrome for a change. One disappointment though was a trip Sunday to Escalanti to the petrified forest, which though still designated on our maps, no longer exists according accord-ing to Escalantites we talked to. Seems by the time the area fcet designated as a park to be protected, it was all carted off. We checked for ourselves, but with the exception of a few small pieces, found the localites knew what they were talking about. They should, most of it is in their back yards, at a SI. 00 to $2.00 per lb. Been a lot of talk about campaigning for the judgeship and the ethics of getting out end letting people (voters) know where you stand. Well for my money, if a little backslapping, and campaigning is going to affect how you treat a man, when you look at him across the bench, then you aren't the man for the job. Surely, if a man wants a job he should be prepared to work and fight for it. He should have the integrity to deal fairly and honestly with all men after he gets it. A non-partisian office does not mean that the man must not carry partisian views, it means only that when sitting in that office, he should remain re-main impartial to all else but the matter at hand. That new paint job at SMR dressed up that corner of main street. No doubt some of the fine paint products that are now on sale along with many other remodeling and home items. Why don't you stop in and see for yourself. The Wildlife Association Annual An-nual Steak Feed is Set for this Saturday night, at the Bert Merryweather cabin in Ranch Canyon, according to Eddie Patterson. Sounds like a winner to me, bring your own steak and tools. Well we finally done it! Steve used to say about every other week, "the photographer's camera cam-era broke down again." Well there's nothing the matter with the camera, but, the photographer photo-grapher failed to make the correct cor-rect setting last week when he shot pictures of all the elementary ele-mentary school classes. Shucks, kids, I hate to get you out of class again. But I promise to tie a string around my finger and do it right this time. |
