Show Another week has gone by at MHS. Christmas will soon be here, and along with it vacation. va-cation. Although we just had our Thanksgiving vacation, everyone is excited about ; Christmas. Mr. Long is already getting us in the spirit by playing Christmas music curing cur-ing the lunch hour. Well, it's a long way off when we are , st:U stuffed full of turkey. With the four days of fun and food, : almost everybody was glad to get back to school ?? The Lettermen's Club got busy, and with their extra funds, bought a new stereo- player for the school bus They decided to do this be- j cause it could be used with other student activities, includ- i ing sports. It was assembled j in the bus by the Electronics j Class on Wedne-day. They had it ready for the basketball team to use on their long trip to Ely on Friday. It made the trip more comfortable and enjoyable. en-joyable. The basketball team traveled to Ely to play White Pine High School for their first game. Both JV and Varsity games were played, with the JV losing los-ing to their outsized opponents and the Varsity leading the complete game for their first win. The following night MHS fought Escalante on home ground. Both the JV and Varsity Var-sity games were won by a comfortable margin. Sunday, the Salt Lake Tribune Trib-une AJl-S'ate football teams were announced. Ken Holm of Milford was selected as Class B defensive halfback. The school is very proud of Ken and congratulates him. The Region Music Clinic will be held in Hurricane on the 5th and 6th. The program is set up to help the music students of the Band and Chorus. Participating band students in this event are Tracy Beal-er, Beal-er, Patti Hiatt, Laurel Davis, Joyce Martin, Janice Martin, Shanna Walker and Alan Schow. The chorus will have three members attending. They are Richard Easton, Steve Johnson and Sylvia Ann Van Tassell. V , |
