Show Cal., after spending ten days with her mother, Mrs. Adrianne Schoo, and several days at Puffers Puf-fers Lake. Mrs. Ida Smith joined her husband Bill and daughter Christen in Salt Lake this week where they will make their home. Mrs. Ethel Smith was released re-leased from the Milford Valley Val-ley Hospital Saturday morning after a three week stay. Here to be with her for the week end were her sons and daughter daugh-ter in law, Albert B. Smith of San Diego, Cal., and Mr. and Mrs. John Smith of Cedar City. e Barbara Norton flew to San Francisco and was met by a brother in law and sister, Doug and Jean Wright. Barbara will spend ten days visiting the Wrights at their home in San Jose. Terry Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Long, has enrolled at Westminster College in Salt ,..,,1 I IH I " O Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Murie were Christine Degelbak, Pam Deg-elback Deg-elback and Sharon Baker, all of Ophir. They were en route home from a Labor Day vacation vaca-tion in Las Vegas, e Bart and Sophia Steeley of Fhoenix, Ariz., were here the early part of the week, seeking seek-ing a house to purchase. They plan to make their home in Miliord. Mrs. Charlotte Miller and two children, formerly of Paradise, Para-dise, Cal., are now living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Van Tassell in South Milford. O Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyter are in Salt Lake this week where Mr. Boyter is receiving medical treatment. Ken Friar, AT&T employee, has been transferred to Delta. His family will move to Delta at a later date. e Joseph A. Sly and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Sly of Hemet, Cal., have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly the past week. They enjoyed camping at Indian In-dian Creek and Puffers Lake. Pat Galley of Peru, 111., and her sister, Mrs. Phyllis Symond, and Mrs. Dorothy Newdigate enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beard attended a wedding reception in Salt Lake last week end for Oliver Farey Jr. son of former Milford residents Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Farey. Mrs Florence Beard was in Fillmore last week end visiting visit-ing her sisters. , Mr and Mrs. Kimmel Coon and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hickman of Beaver spent the week end at Mahogany Cave in the Beaver Bea-ver Mountains. O Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Hughes, parents of Stanley Gene Hughes who was killed in an auto accident on Saturday, Aug 30, were here after receiving re-ceiving word of their son's death, at the home of Mr. and Mrs Mack Thompson. Also here were Stanley's' brother and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hughes, Carol Ann and Shar-lann, Shar-lann, all of West Covina, Cal. Mrs. Thompson and children Robert and Dcbra attended funeral fu-neral services for Stanley in Baldwin Park, Cal. Clvde and Marian Turner and three children of Las Vegas spent last week end at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mabel Turner. Clyde participated participat-ed in a golf tournament at Beaver. e Norman, Nolan and Brenda Lee Davis, children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis of Ely, spent last week end at the homes of grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson and Mrs. Mabel Turner. Mrs. Maurine Miller accompanied accom-panied Mrs. Kathleen Johnson John-son and children to their home in Oroville, Cal. Mrs. Johnson had been visiting her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Marvel Conr.ell. Mrs. Miller also visited her son, Fred Miller, and she accompanied ac-companied him to Milford this week end, Mr. Miller came to see his two children. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atkin, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilliam and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Asay were in Soda Springs, Idaho, last Friday through Sunday attending attend-ing the National Jeep Patrol Board of Directors meeting. Mr. Atkin was recently elected to tho board. Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Skilli-corn Skilli-corn and three children of Salt Lake spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Skillicorn. Blake and Betty Hyatt and baby Darren of Rawlins, Wyo., spent a few days with Mrs. Hyatt's mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson. 0 Jake and Nelouise Schow plan to join other Layne and Bowler Pump Co. dealers for a deep sea fishing trip eff the California coast. Mrs. Schow will visit her mother, Mrs. W. K. Whitehurst and sister Mrs. Joan Vinniger in Encinitas. Edgar Moore and daughter Joyce left Saturday for Los Angeles where Joyce will interne in-terne for a year at the hil-dren's hil-dren's Hospital. She graduated from the U of U last June, where she majored in Physical Therapy. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Taylor and friends of Salt Lake were here over the week end, bow hunting. 0 Mrs. Beatrice Oxley and i daughter Amanda were in Sal: Lake over the week end. Mrs Oxley, state BPW membership chairman, attended the state BPW Board meeting Saturday and Sunday at Ramada Im Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garfield recently returned their grand son Steven to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Garfield, in Redlands, Cal Steven had spent the summer here. The Garfields were accompanied ac-companied back to Milford by j another grandson, Curtis, sos ' of the Neil Garfields. Mr. and Mrs. Garfield took Curtis bars to his home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schiede-man, Schiede-man, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Mayer and Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer attended the wedding of the Schiedeman"s son Louis in Santa Ana, Cal., Aug. 31. Mrs. Emma Ason and daughter daugh-ter Virginia of Washington visited vis-ited Mrs. Ason's sister, Mrs. Annie Denny, last week enroute home from a vacation trip to California. Mrs. Jean Hanley and children chil-dren Brian and Kathy were in Salt Lake last (week attending the circus and visiting Mike and Carol Hanley. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Mayer were in California last week visiting their daughter Odette at Loma Linda, and enrolled their daughter Colleen at Newbury New-bury Academy near Los Angeles. An-geles. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lee and son Jason visited Mrs. Lee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond French in Loma Linda, Lin-da, Cal., and attended the wedding wed-ding of Loius Schiedeman in Santa Ana. Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey spent a few days in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Baker were in Salt Lake last week at the home sof their son, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Baker. Mr. Baker had an eye examination, and the group attended the circus at the Salt Palace. Last week end Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Wilson Wil-son of Clovis, Cal., visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Baker. O Charlene Wellington and friend Kiel Beldone of Salt Lake were here over the week end at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wellington. ' Mrs. Ramona Wellington joined her sister, Mrs. Norma Blain in Salt Lake and the two ladies will attend funeral services serv-ices in Alpine Tuesday for an uncle, Ed Burgess.
