Show HOSPITAL BOARD NAMES THREE NEW MEMBERS By Pat Williams Three new Milford Valley Memerial Hospital executive board members were elected at the General Board meeting last Friday evening in the Elementary Element-ary School, replacing Alva J. Kirk, Milford; J. D. Osborne, Beaver, and Gail Van Tassell, South Milford, whose terms expired. At last year's General Board meeting it was agreed to drop the Beaver board member mem-ber and add one from Miners-ville. Miners-ville. New members of the General Board are Lee Gillins, Miners-ville; Miners-ville; J. L. McBride, South Milford, and LaMar Lund, Milford. Lee Schiedeman, hospital administrator, ad-ministrator, gave a favorable financial report. He also pointed point-ed out. that it was necessary to raise the patient room to $28 from $23 because of rising hospital hos-pital operation. Mrs. Jackie Williams, superintendent super-intendent of nurses, gave a rundown on the annual nurses scholarship, offered at the local lo-cal hospital. She also expressed ex-pressed her appreciation to th3 30 full and part time employees at the hospital, also to the non-paid employees, 25 dedicated dedicat-ed Gray Ladies, 15 Candy Stripers, board members, the outstanding board secretary, Joan Holland, and to the community com-munity who have given to the ward memorial fund. For the past year $662.64 was given and makes a total of $905.12 in the special fund, of which this money is earmarked for special spe-cial equipment outside of the general operation of the hospital. |
