Show GET RID OF BUZZY CLUSTER FLIES An occasionr! bif huzzy fly coming out in winter, buzzing around the lisb's in the evening, eve-ning, often indicates that a "ball'' of cluster flies is hidden someplace in the home, said Dr. George Knowlton, extension exten-sion entemologist for Utah State University. He explained that cluster flies in large numbers invade homes and other warm build-; build-; ings in the fall to get away from the cold. They find hiding hid-ing places in dark closets, attics, at-tics, basements, and even between be-tween the walls of buildings. He suggested, "Use a bug bomb, the usual type aerosol insecticide dispenser, to release re-lease some insecticide fog into the attic, basement and other places where a cluster of these flies may exist. Often a lot of dead flies and likely some other insects will be found following fol-lowing such a treatment. |
