Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter visited their daughter in law and son, the Wilden Carters, in St. George this past wecrc. O Mr, aiid Mrs. Clarence (Ty, Gillins were in Phoenix, Ari.., on a pleasure trip last week end. O Karl Todd Miller, son of Mrs. Kaye Miller, and his jjioai-gianumolhr, Mrs. Jennn. Marquardson, celebrated their birih annivesraries together on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the home Phil and Lola Roberts. Karl Todd was 1 year old and Mrs. Marquardson observed her 78th anniversary. Attending were Mrs. Glenn Asay and three children of Milford, Mrs. Joy Hillman and son Tracy of Nevada, Ne-vada, Mrs. Violet Horton of Ogden, Mrs. Sharon Myers and daughter tori, Mrs. Jolene Patterson and son Roger Mark, Mr. and Mrs. Guardell Banks made a business trip to Salt Lake last Sunday and Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Violet Horton returned to her home in Ogden after visiting her mother, Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Marquardson, and brother in law and sister, Phil and Lola Roberts. ' Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson of Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn left Thursday for Durango, Colo., to spend a week with the Blackburns son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Muir. Last Friday Suzan Camp, DUP, met at the home of Mrs. Madge Carter. Mrs. Beulah Wood gave the lesson on the Mormon Battalion. Others present pres-ent were Mrs. Ella Wood, captain; cap-tain; Mrs. Effie Jamseon, Mrs. Lucy Williams, Mrs. Jennie Marquardson, Mrs. Pauline Wood and Mrs. Lola Roberts. O Janette Hollingshead, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead, celebrated her seventh birthday with a party on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Edwards Ed-wards enjoyed a trip to Hawaii, Ha-waii, paid for by their children chil-dren as a Christmas gift. Home from the Milford Valley Val-ley Memorial Hospital are Merrill Jameson and Mrs. Edith Bradfield. Mrs. Bradfield is convalescing at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alba Carter. Also home is Charley Jameson, who underwent major surgery in Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake, Howard Pryor will be released from the hospital on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Hayward Carter, Car-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre and Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre will attend the James H. Rollins family reunion to be held March 2 in San Bernardino, Bernar-dino, Calif. The American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary sponsored an assembly at the Elementary School on Feb. 22, with the kindergarten, first and second grades presenting pre-senting the George Washington, program. Winners of the Legion Le-gion Auxiliary essay contest read their essays. Names of the winners will be published next week. |
