O Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cook of Salt Lake were here last week end at the home of Mrs. Bertha Coltrell. Kent Mellor has toeen inducted in-ducted into military service. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Horton were in Salt Lake this week, and Mrs. Horton received ear treatment at University Medical Med-ical Center. Debbie Grimes of Bountiful spent last week end with her mother, Mrs. Virginia Grimes. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hanney returned Sunday from Northern Utah where they spent 10 days visiting their children. O Mr. and Mrs. Don Wisner and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden attended the B of L E General Committee meetings in Whit-tier, Whit-tier, Calif. Mr. Wisner is secretary sec-retary of the organization, and Mr. Ogden is local chairman. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilliam and children of Salt Lake were here last week end . Mrs. Frances Smithson is in Nevada City, Calif., visiting her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Peterson. A Democratic Central Committee Com-mittee Meeting was held last Wednesday evening in Beaver. LeRoy and Vicki Jackson of Salt Lake spent last week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden. e Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Anderson Ander-son left Thursday for a two week trip to Nevada and Arizona. Ari-zona. e Hampton Burke, his two sisters, Mrs. Harry Hair and Mrs. Nelson Bulloch, and a nephew, David Hair of Cedar City, attended funeral services in Riverside, Calif., last Friday for a cousin, Burke Detmers, son of Mrs. Isabel Burke Detmers Det-mers Giles. Mr. Detmers spent his early life in Beaver. O Mr. and Mrs. Evan Lister and two children are living in the former John Nay home. Mr. Lister is employed at American Mining Co. O Mrs. Margy Thompson has returned to Milford from Salt Lake ,and is living in one of the Lamar Outzen apartments. O Mr. and Mrs. Richard Payne Sr. of Portland, Oregon, are spending two weeks with their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Payne and children. Mrs. Thurland D. Mrs. Gilliam was transferred from the Milford Mil-ford Valley Memorial Hospital to the University Medical Center Cen-ter for further treatment. e Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Max Mecham last week end were Mr. Mecham's son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Barlow and three children of Diamond Bar, Calif. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Max Mecham were in New Harmony on Jan. 13 to help celebrate the birth anniversary of Mrs. Mecham's mother, Mrs. Emma Neilson. Fred and Charlotte Miller and son Troy are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Miller, en route to Paradise, Calif., where Fred will be employed em-ployed as a dental laboratory technician. Also at the Miller home are their daughter, Mrs. Joy Hillman and son Tracy of Blue Diamond, Calif. The Fred Millers are also visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Van Tassell of South Milford. Veda Cox returned this week from North Bend, Oregon, where she and her mother, Mrs. Isabelle Cox, have been visiting Mrs. Cox' son and daughter in law, Dr. and Mrs. William L. Cox. |
