' , 3 I " ' ' - 1 , ' J Mr. and Mrs. William Ashley SHIRLENE HARDY, WILLIAM ASHLEY MARRIED IN TEMPLE "hSteremple was the setting for the marriage of Miss Shirlene Hardy and Mr. William A. Ashley on Oct. 7th. Temple President Arthur J. Barlocker officiated. The new Mrs. Ashley is the daughter of Mrs. Ida Hardy of Milford. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ashley Jr. of Minersville. At the reception held that evening in the Milford LDS Church the bridal party stood under an arch laden with yellow yel-low roses, centered with white wedding bells and tied with wide yellow and orange satin ribbon bows. Two baskets of gladioli were placed at each end of the arch. The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore yellow and orange dresses, in keeping with the color scheme. Miss Marilyn Bauer was the maid of honor and the bridesmaids brides-maids were Mrs. Russell Hor-ton, Hor-ton, Mrs. Weldow George, Mrs. Mike Wisner, Miss Carol Roberts, Rob-erts, and Miss Sherida Allen. Calvin Hutchings acted as best man, and ushers included Russell Hutchings, Doug Now-ers, Now-ers, Bud Barnes, Dennis Hardy and Weldow George. The bride was precious in a Chantilly lace and white nylon ny-lon floor length gown. The fitted lace bodice featured wrist - length pointed lace sleeves and a scooped neckline. neck-line. The gathered nylon skirt was complemented with an overskirt of matching lace. Her sweeping chapel tulle train was daintily etched with scalloped scal-loped Chantilly lace. She held two dozen talisman roses. Her headpiece was a pearl trimmed peau de soie rose caught to a bouffant elbow length veil. The couple spent their honeymoon hon-eymoon in Ely, Nev., and left on Wednesday, Oct. 25, for Pensacola, Fla where Mr. Ashley is serving with the Armed Forces. |
