The U S Bureau of the Census is taking a state-wide survey on fallout protection in homes for the Utah Civil Defense Corps. The interviewers have been trained by the Bureau. Each wears a red, white and blue identification badge which is her official credential. It bears her signature and certifies cer-tifies that she is authorized to perform the duties of a Census interviewer, and as such has sworn to keep confidential all Census information you give her. She will ask only a few questions: How many people usually live in your household?? house-hold?? How many floors does your house have? What type of roof? Do you have a basement base-ment or cellar under your house? If you do, what are the basement walls made of? And what is the height of each basement wall above the outside out-side ground level? After processing the information, informa-tion, the Census Bureau will mail to each householder a report on how much protection protec-tion th ehome affords against radioactive fallout. |
