Show THE NEWS FROM SNAKE VALLEY By SYLVIA BAKER (Held over fro mlast week) 9 Thanksgiving dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dodge were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cooper and children Sue, Linda, Donnie and Jimmie of East Ely. Young hosts were Doug, Howard and Jeff. Will Gonder fell and broke his hip on Thanksgiving afternoon, after-noon, after enjoying a dinner with the Gonders and the Eld-ridges Eld-ridges at the Eldridge Ranch. He was rushed to Delta and transferred to a Salt Lake hospital. hos-pital. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Graybill and daughters Kim, Peggy and Robin, hosted Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cunningham and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Perry and children Christy, Frank and Mike for Thanksgiving dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Prentiss Kaufman Kauf-man joined the Ralph Kaufmans Kauf-mans for the Thanksgiving feast. Dr. Joseph Griggs was a Baker Ba-ker visitor over the Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing week end. He joined Mrs. Griggs, the Lawrence Calder-woods, Calder-woods, the Carl Bakers of Ely, the Dean Bakers and the Fred Bakers for Thanksgiving dinner at the Baker Ranch cookhouse. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Eldridge and daughter Evelene were travelers to Cedar City last week. The Snake Valley Shirts and Skirts will hold their annual Christmas potluck and dance on Saturday, Dec. 17. The pot-luck pot-luck will be held at the Baker Ranch cookhouse, and those attending at-tending will bring chicken for their families and a potluck dish. The dance and gift exchange ex-change will be held at the Lehman Leh-man Caves Visitors Center immediately im-mediately following the dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Terry journeyed into the Southlands to the Petrified Forest National Park to visit the Keith Trexler family. The Trexlers are reported re-ported to find life rewarding in their new assignment, but they miss the Snake Valley and all their friends here. The Terrys returned home and then spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Reno with their son in law and daughter and family, the John Buccumbussos. Attending the Nevada State Farm Bureau Convention in Elko two week ends ago were several members of the White Pine County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Included were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gonder Gon-der of Garrison; Mr .and Mrs. Harold Ivins of Lund; Mr. and Mrs. Vance McKenzie, Lund, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Baker of Baker. |
