Show 'tie "news from"" SNAKE VALLEY By Mrs. Barbara Gregson m The elementary school of Garrison will be dismissed for the summer on May 27. Bill Dearden, Thelma Anderson, Bill Spawn and Bill Williams will graduate from the eighth grade. The Baker school year will be finished on May 4. ( Mara Bellander will gradaute from the eighth grade. High school students graduating gradu-ating this spring are: Terry Bellander, Pat Gonder and Pam Bullock from Ely High, and Mary Sims from Delta High. C Cecil Rowley and Austin Williams are both working in Delta on the state highway for four weeks. Mrs. Rowley and Mrs. Williams drove to Delta one day last week, visited their husbands over night, then returned re-turned to Garrison by way of Fillmore, Beaver, Cedar City, Minersville and Milford, Dr. and Mrs. Moore and family of Salt Lake were house guests of Mr. and Mrs, Vivian Dearden last week end, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden are enjoying a three week vacation va-cation trip visiting friends and relatives in Idaho and the Pa- rifip Nnrthwoaf Wheeler Forest Service road project. Thursday, Sheldon Robison suffered broken vertebra verte-bra in his neck, and Saturday Wesley Jordon suffered a broken brok-en left leg. Both accidents occurred oc-curred in timber work being done by LaBarge Construction Co. of LaBarge, Wyo. Mrs .O. Merlin Terry is spending this week in Reno caring for her grandchildren. Miss Linda Robison spent last week end visiting the Darren Dar-ren Robison family in Ely. Phil Hesselgesser and Boise Hesselgesser of Elko are in Baker for a few days this week visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Beryl Allen and daughters daugh-ters of Fillmore spent Saturday Satur-day touring Lehman Caves and visiting friends in the Baker area, Pete Gulich and William P. McLelland both made business trips to Wyoming last week end.. Mr. and Mrs. Guy C. Decker Jr. returned Wednesday from Santa Barbara, Calif., where they attended funeral services for Mr. Decker's brother in law, Leo Ecord. O Charlie Kelly of the Great Basin Lodge is hobbling around rather painfully this week with a sprained toe he suffered while doing some redecorating. S Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Ramsey Ram-sey of Garden Grove, Calif., are in Snake Valley visiting the H. G. Baker and Martin Baker families, and the Cecil Rowleys. e Mrs. Martin Baker received word last Sunday that her brother, Duane Daniels of Las Vegas, was the victim of a heart attack. Mrs. Baker, accompanied ac-companied by her sister in law, Mrs. H. G. Baker, drove to Las Vegas Sunday and are there with other members of the family. t Mr. and Mrs. Steve McCleery of Salt Lake were week end guests of Mrs. McCleery's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Mureal Neil-son Neil-son in Baker, 9 Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lath-rop Lath-rop and Mr. and Mrs. Clair Whipple of Ely spent several days camping and fishing on Baker and Strawberry Creeks last week. Slim Williams, former Baker Bak-er resident, dropped in for a short visit last Thursday with the R. H. Kaufmans . Miss Kim Rowley was guest of honor at a party in celebration celebra-tion of her fourth birthday on May 12th. At the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Rowley In Garrisonj the following children chil-dren enjoyed themselves at the party: Kirk. Davis, Cheryl Lynn Hidy, Shelly Coil, Terry Mc-Ginnis, Mc-Ginnis, Landy McGinnis, John Hamilton, Glenn Dearden, Kenny Ken-ny Tanner and Bruce Gregson.
