Prospects for local waters, as indicated by the Fish and Game, are: Minersville Reservoir. A year-round water with excellent excel-lent late winter and spring fishing. Most rainbow trout vill be from 11 to 15 inches, with occasional "lunkers" to 7 and 8 lbs. A few brook and brown trout can be expected in the creel. Take advantage of the 24-hour fishing regulations regula-tions with flies for the big ones. Anderson Meadow-Little Reservoir Res-ervoir Both will be heavily stocked with rainbow catch-ables catch-ables for the opener, if accessible. acces-sible. Hold - over catchables from 1965 plants will be present pres-ent in some numbers. Brook trout fingerlings were stocked in Anderson Meadow in 1965, but will not enter the creel to any extent until later in the season. A few large browns are taken in Little Reservoir each year. Rainbow trout in these lakes should range from 10 inches to two pounds. Middle Kent's Reservoir Ice damage to the outlet gate has caused this reservoir to be drained this spring. Repairs are under way, but stocking will depend on the amount of water available. Check status with the regional office. Puffer's Lake-Three Creeks Puffers Lake receives finger-ling finger-ling rainbow trout .supplemented .supplement-ed with catchables. Fishing should be excellent on the opening with yearling fish ranging from 10 to 12 inches and 2-year-olds to 15 inches. At press time Thursday Bob and Marge Schramm report they still have vacancies at Puffer Lodge. Three Creeks probably will be only fair on the opening, but should improve im-prove as the season progresses. Catchable rainbows are the only fish there, |
