Prior to this survey, the only records kept by the Division were from the annual midwinter waterfowl survey. The summer survey, taken on 53 routes in Utah, tallied 95 adult and 25 juvenile golden eagles, 2 adult bald eagles and 1 unclass'fied for a total of 113 eagles. Some 140 other raptors were also .noted. It should be pointed out that bald eagles migrate out of Utah in early spring. The winder survey revealed 140 bald, 177 golden and 24 unclassified eagles. |
