Show 9 2UHH4, Bui 9 Jteaid Several Milford residents, representing Milford City, the Lions Club, and other organizations, organi-zations, will attend the Utah State Road Commission meeting meet-ing in Cedar City at 10 a. m. tomorrow ( Friday K The group will seek more convenient access to Interstate 15 at the junction of 1-15 and U-21 in Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Arnold-son Arnold-son of Moroni, formerly of Milford, Mil-ford, visited their old friends last Saturday evening. It was nice to see Elliott again, and of course we made plans for duck hunt jaunts to the Burbank-Garrison area. Elliott likes his work in the Moroni area schools, but says he will always be wishing he was back In Milford. Mac McBride dropped in to show us a paragraph in the National Highway 50 Association Associa-tion newsletter stating that the "long-range" plan of that rather rath-er influential organization is to continue Interstate 70 west from Cove Fort to tie in with U S 50 and on thru Ely, etc., but in the meantime they plan to go all out to pull traffic off Interstate 15 at Beaver, heading head-ing the cars west thru Milford. "This is necessary in order to assure a continued flow of traffic over U S 50 into San Francisco," the bulletin said. Mrs. Louise Dixon of 231 North Whipple St., Fort Bragg, Calif., writes a nice note tell- ing us how much she enjoys The Beaver County News, and "Do you know any one I can buy pine nuts from?" We understand pine nuts are a little scarce this year, but we're sure some of our readers will be able to supply Mrs. Dixon with the delicacies. Marylou Bradfield of Minersville Min-ersville is one of the 15 South Utah ladies who graduated last Friday at C S U after a 36-week 36-week training course in Secretarial Secre-tarial Science. Seems like the Minersville Res inspires quips from the small fry. Most fishermen "miss the big fish," but one of the youngsters last Monday, asked by his dad if he'd caught any, answered "No, but I sure did miss a big jerk." |
