Marilyn ' Richards. daughter of Mrs. Lucy Richards, returned to Salt Lake with them to look for employment, e Mrs. Kenna Lou Kent and on Eric of Salt Lake spent the Labor Day week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Kelscy. Visiting at the Earl Limb home over the holiday were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Limb and Gregory. Mrs. Gertrude Marshall honored hon-ored her husband Howard with a birthday dinner party on Friday, Sept. 4. Those attending attend-ing were his mother, Mrs. Effie Marshall; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones of South Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Messenger, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Knight and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hunt, Cedar City; and Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Puffer of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waters Wat-ers of Springville spent several days here last week visiting her sister, Mrs. Ora Fother-ingham, Fother-ingham, and her brother and ton. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Carr of Salt Lake visited here over the week end. Mr. Carr lived in Minersville many years ago with an aunt, Susan Roberts. O Miss Sandra Thiriot and her fiance of Las Vegas stayed overnight Sunday with her grandmother, Mrs. Albateen Roberts, who accompanied the couple to Salt Lake where they will be married this week in the Salt Lake Temple. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Stan McKnight were hosts at a family dinner Sunday. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Michael McKnight Mc-Knight and family of Bountiful; Bounti-ful; Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Carter and family and Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Carter and family of Cedar City; and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Johnson of Milford. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Newell Payson and family of American Fork spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Kay Banks of Cedar City are proud parents of a new baby daughter, weighing weigh-ing 5 lbs 12 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Banks, and Mr. and Mrs. James Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead of Milford. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson Jame-son and Mrs. Effie Jameson motored to Antimony Wednesday Wednes-day to attend funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Nicholes. Proctor of Antimony. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gillins and family of Kearns also visited her parents. par-ents. 9 Mrs. Lucy Williams is visiting visit-ing in Salt Lake with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Heslington and family, and other relatives. While Mrs. Williams is on vacation va-cation Beulah Wood will serve as librarian. 9 Mrs. Aletha Gillins, Pauline Wood and Lloyd Mathews received re-ceived the sad news of the death of their sister, Mrs. Lucy (Mathews) Nichols, in Antimony Anti-mony last week. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Howard Heslington Hes-lington and children of California Cali-fornia are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hesling- sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson. 9 The American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary held their annual canyon cook-out last week at the Beaver Bea-ver County Park. The Legion members were also invited. More than 30 couples enjoyed corn on the cob, hash browns, chiliburgers, hot coffee and chocolate, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, cu-cumbers, and home made ice cream. 9 Many large 3, 4 and 5 lb trout are again being hooked at the Minersville reservoir. Among the lucky anglers catching catch-ing big ones last week were Lorenzo King, Merrill Jameson, Billy Dalton, Val Carter and Randall Banks. 9 Mrs. Frieda Wood spent several sev-eral days last week in Salt Lake with her mother, Mrs. Nancy Zuagg, who recently underwent major surgery for a broken hip. 9 Mrs. Lucy Johnson and daughter of Tooele spent several sev-eral days here last week visiting vis-iting her aunt, Mrs. Lucy Williams. Wil-liams. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Michael McKnight Mc-Knight and family of Bountiful Bounti-ful spent the holiday week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan McKnight. 9 Larry Hollingshead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hollingshead, Hollings-head, spent the Labor Day week end with his parents. Larry has been employed In Salt Lake this summer prior to enrolling at the U of U again this fall. 9 The following girls graduated graduat-ed from Primary last Sunday.
