Show MOSS ASKS MORE FUNDS FOR SOIL CONSERVATION Senator Frank E. Moss last week urged the Senate Agricultural Agri-cultural Appropriations Subcommittee Sub-committee to add $10 million to the requested budget amount for technical assistance to soil conservation districts and for small watershed projects. Senator Moss said the present pres-ent figure "does not even provide pro-vide for increased costs of continuing con-tinuing the services now provided pro-vided to districts, much less permit gaining on the growing backlog of unfinished business in the vital job of soil and water conservation." Included in a list of watershed water-shed projects in Utah was one at Minersville, 118,000 acres, which is in the Projects Being Planned category. |
