Show JUNIORS DECORATING GYMNASIUM FOR ANNUAL CLASS PROMENADE By the Journalism Class of Milford High School Doors swing open, lights blink on, and a mood of romance fills the air as the Junior Prom of 1964 is bom! You will find yourself entranced by the grandeu of the night as skirts sway to the lilting music of the orchestra. or-chestra. The evening comes alive to the Paris theme of "Clair de Lune." During intermission a program will be given by a select group of promising entertainers. Finally the long-awaited long-awaited moment will arrive and the Juniors waltz into the promenade to the song of Paris. April 10th means much to those who have put in all their spare time" and effort to make this prom something) to always remember. The Junior Class hopes you won't fail us and our time won't be wasted. The price is $2 per couple and the evening begins at 8:30 p. m. See SCHOOL NEWS, Page 2 - 2 By the Journalism Class of Milford High School Mrs. Mary McCulley, Instructor HOME EC GIRLS TAKE TRIP Monday morning the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade Home Ec girls journeyed to Beaver to tour the clothing factory. Among the many interesting sights, the guides showed us how the girls are set up to do the sewing. They work on an assembly line. One girl cuts the material, another sews the collar on whili one girl was sewing on buttons. The girls work very fast and in one day they produce 250 dozen outfits. It was very amazing to see all the different kinds of machines ma-chines and just how they work.. and Brad Whittaker accompanied accompa-nied the singing on his guitar. This party was a smashing success and many were heard to comment that it was one of the best parties held at MHS. SPRING AND EASTER VACATION School was dismissed last Friday for Spring and Easter vacation. Since it's been so warm lately, it was really a thrill for the students to get out one day and enjoy the warm weather. Easter was Sunday, and after attending church many people rode off to the mountains or went to see relatives rel-atives to have a wonderful day. BEAVER TALENT VISITS MILFORD HIGH The student body of MHS was favored with the traveling assembly representing Beaver High School Tuesday afternoon. This was a very interesting and worth-while trip. PARTY! PARTY! The lunchroom was the scene of the cast party held after the final performance of ''Swinging ''Swing-ing High" Thursday night. The cast, along with dates and friends, attended. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Miss Carlson chaperoned the party. Participants at the party danced (along with learning a couple of new ones) and stuffed themselves with sandwiches, potato chips, olives, pickles, pop and cake. Toward the end of the party everyone sat down and had a good old hootenanny. Russell Horton acted as M C This presentation was a welcome wel-come interlude in the busy day's schedule, especially since this was report card day. The talented students of Beaver High presented their well-prepared assembly in a very entertaining manner. "SWINGING HIGH" A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS The new feature which: was added to the agenda of Milford High School this year, the production pro-duction of the musical comedy "Swinging High," was a smashing smash-ing success. This undertaking took great advantage of the talent which is so abundant right here in our school. All members participating par-ticipating were students in the phies and plaques than we thought we had. The other case, which will be the display case, was also broken in as the Journalism Class displayed their Easter issues. Our new additions add greatly great-ly to the appearance of. our school and finally we can see what we really have. 9th to 12th grades, many of them from Mr. Johnson's music mu-sic department. The audience was enraptured as the cast portrayed, marvel-ously marvel-ously well, the life of Madison High School which was transformed trans-formed with the appearance of their new principal, Mr. Mc-Duff, Mc-Duff, and his McDuXf plan. The ways in which all the teachers in this unusual school succeeded succeed-ed in becoming involved in romantic ro-mantic entanglements was especially es-pecially amusing. Everyone desarves praise for helping to bring such a fine presentation to Milfcrd High School. The diiectors, Mr. Dale Johnson and his wife Lora, and Miss Lou Ann Carlson, Carl-son, plus the many students involved, in-volved, put an immense amount of preparation into this fine production. OLD TO THE NEW After Jasper Walker had spent some days building two new trophy cases, the event finally came: The shifting from the old to the new.
