Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received re-ceived by the State Road Commission Com-mission of Utah, Room 608, State Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 1963, and at that time publicly opened for construction of Landscape in Beaver County, the same being that section of Interstate Inter-state Highway No. 15 from North Beaver to Wildcat Hill identified as Federal Aid Project Pro-ject No. 1-15-3(8)112. The length of the road to be constructed or repaired is 8.750 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 200 Acres of Grass Seeding and 35 Acres of Straw Mulching. The project is to be completed complet-ed on or before September 1, 1964. (See Special Provision). Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and specifications, specifica-tions, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Statement pertaining to contractor's con-tractor's experience and financial finan-cial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions Provi-sions covering subletting or assigning the contract. In conformity with Section 115 of the Federal Aid Highway High-way Act of 1956 the U. S. Department De-partment of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, Divi-sion, U. S. Department of Labor, La-bor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions provi-sions of the Fair Labor Standards Stand-ards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specifications are sections and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and at the office of its District Engineer at Cedar Ce-dar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective prospec-tive bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing guar-anteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. re-served. Cash, certified check, cashier's cash-ier's check, or approved proposal pro-posal guarantee bond for not less than five per cent of total amount of bids made payable to the State Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute exe-cute the contract and furnish contract bond as required.
