Show Russell Sly Takes Bride from Springville A wedding reception honoring honor-ing Mr. and Mrs. Russell M. Sly was given Dec. 29, 1961 at the Milford L. D. S. Chapel. Jake's orchestra furnished the music. A lovely program was rendered during the evening. The bride, Geniel Ashcraft, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd J. Ashcraft of Springville. Spring-ville. The groom is the son of Mr. - and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly of Milford, Utah. The newlyweds were married Dec. 20, 1961 in the Manti Temple by President Adolphus Peterson. The bride's gown was of French lace over a buffont .skirt with a tightly fitted bodice and long lily pointed sleeves. A tiara of pearls released re-leased a double circle veil of illusion. Matron of honor was Mrs. Elaine Anderson, sister of the bride. Attendants were Mrs. Nelda Bremanen and Miss Marlyn Ashcroft also sisters. The bride's bouquet was a white orchid encircled with white rose buds. The attendants wore blue silk sheaths and carried white muffs. Lynn Godfrey was best man. Ushers were Ned Kohler and Bernel Anderson. The new Mrs. Sly's brother, Don Ashcraft, was also here for his sister's reception. Russell's two grandmothers of Beaver, Utah, Mrs. Flora Edwards and Mrs. Hilma Sly were present. A reception is being held in Springville, Utah, Jan. 4, 1962 for the young couple. |
