Show Anglers Near Fishing End Just Start For Fisheries ions of eggs and fishes in pre-1 paration for the warn weather of 1962 when most anglers will be going afield again to their favorite fishing holes. Department of fish and game hatcheries are located at Logan, Salt Lake City, Kamas, Midway, Springville, Fountain Green, Glenwood, Loa, Beaver, Pangui-tch Pangui-tch and Whiterocks. At each site the public is welcomed to visit and see the interesting process pro-cess of preparation for the angling ang-ling seasons ahead. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McShane were Beaver visitors on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clint McShane were here on Sunday. They had visited the Panguitch Veterans day party where he as State Commander was guest speaker. On Monday they traveled on to Richfield and to Ephraim where he was to have like engagements. engage-ments. While in Beaver they were guests of Mrs. McShanes mother, Mrs. Emma Baldwin, and sister Mrs. Bernice Thompson. Most Utah anglers have stored stor-ed their tackle and oiher gear, even though the general season sea-son does not end until Nov. 30, and many waters may be fished all year. Most will only talk fishing until the warm days of spring again roll around. Yet, this is the beginning of the most active period of the year for the men who man the State's eleven fish hatcheries. It is a busy time when the work load builds up in preparation for the coming angling year. Hatchery troughs and ponds now fill rapidly with small fish hatched from eggs that are purchased pur-chased from commercial hatchery hatch-ery sources. As the winter progresses pro-gresses these will include rainbow, rain-bow, brook, brown, mackinaw, kokanee and walleye counting into the many millions of eggs. Other hatchery ponds are filled fill-ed with fingerling trout in various var-ious sizes which, through daily care and feeding, will become catchable for next season as they are stocked into the hard fished streams and smaller lakes. lak-es.
