Show MILFORD LEGION TO STAGE ANNUAL DEER HUNT BALL Milford Post No. 16 of The American Legion will again sponsor the annual Milford Deer Hunters' Ball, scheduled for Wednesday evening, Oct. 18, according to Bill Wunder-lich, Wunder-lich, post commander. Mr. Wunderlich said he expects ex-pects the 1961 dance to be "as big and great an affair as the deer hunt dances in Milford usd to be." "Dancing in Beaver County has been gradually losing its popularity," Mr. Wunderlich said, "maybe due to television. But there aren't any more 'Wednesday Night Fights,' and with the Legion offering a number of door prizes, excellent excel-lent . music and a refreshment stand, we're expecting a lot of groups to get up parties and jam the dance floor this year." Alva Kirk Jr., dance chairman, chair-man, announced that Jake and His Gang, augmented by several sever-al popular former Milford musicians mu-sicians who will be here, will play for dancing. Dancing starts at 9 p. m., in Arion Hall, Mr. Kirk said, and urged all who turn out to wear the traditional Deer Hunter Red attire. |
