Show Mr. and Mrs. James Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead attended the Ute Stampede at Nephi last Friday. Fri-day. Mrs. Therlow VanCampeu of Sunnyside has been in Milford during the illness and operation opera-tion of her mother, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Colborn. Mr. Van Cam-pen Cam-pen and son David will be In Milford this week end and Mrs. Van Campen will return home with her family. 9 Mrs. Marva Connell plans to spend the 24th in Cedar City with her daughter in law Marilee Connell. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Stanley Hughes and four children are in Milford with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hughes, en route to Alabama where Col. Hughes will attend a special spe-cial school. They have been stationed in South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Eiwood Jefferson Jeffer-son are converting their garage ga-rage into a recreation room. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Smith left for Winfield, 111., to be present for the birth of a grandchild. They arrived on July 12th, and a son was born July 15 to Mr. and Mrs. James Knippen. The Knippens have two other sons. Personal 7 Visiting at the home of the D. L. Keslers are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Farnsworth and three children and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Roper and two children, child-ren, all of Ely. Mr. and Mrs. Roper also will visit his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper. Mrs. D. L. Kesler is in Salt Lake because of the illness of a son in law, Dell Edwards. Dick and Mary (Jimenez) Blonquist and baby Lisa were in Milford over the week end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luis Jimenez. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Bolton will return this week from a two week vacation in Richland, Rich-land, Wash., and Los Angeles, Calif., where they visited relatives. rel-atives. Bert Wynaught left Tuesday for Connecticut, where he will visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Van Horn, who are living at Earp, Calif., are in Milford for several sev-eral weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Burke have purchased the former for-mer Mrs. Lucille Thurston home from Mitchell White. Mrs. Earl Gillins and Mr. and Mrs". Claude Wheeler motored mo-tored to Compton, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler returned by train and Mrs. Gillins remained until her husband arrived at Long Beach. Mr. Gillins, who is serving with the U S Navy, had completed a six-month tour of duty in Japan. Mr. and Mrs. Gillins arrived here Tuesday, and they will leave Thursday for Long Beach. Connie Vollhard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vollhard of Las Vegas, has spent three weeks in Milford with her grandmother, Mrs. J. E. Yither. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Roy Myers and son Roger and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gillins and daughter daugh-ter Elaine left for Enterprise after receiving word of the serious illness of the ladies' mother, Mrs. Ernest Barlocker. Mrs. Barlocker's iwo sisters, Mrs. Clifford Wadsworth and Mrs. Heber Myers also were there. They returned home after Mrs. Barlocker started to improve. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Var-ley Var-ley and two children Michael and Kathy of Sandy came to Milford ot be with her parents Mr.Nand Mrs. Heber Myers. On their return home they left Michael and Kathy for a longer long-er visit and took their twins, Daniel and Dian, who had been here for a week with their grandparents. Also at the Myers home were a son in law and daughter, Bud and Roma Jean Williams and three children of Las Vegas. 0 Mrs. Beatrice Oxley and daughter Amanda were in Nephi attending the Stampede and visiting relatives. Vaughn McDonald flew to San Francisco to visit his brother and family, Dr. and Mrs. William McDonald. 9 Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDonald McDon-ald have just returned from a two-week vacation to the Eastern East-ern States. Traveling to Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania by train, they met their son and wife, Vaughn and Betty, and were present when Vaughn graduated from Penn State University. The group motored to New York, Washington, Philadelphia and other points of interest, and returned home through the Southern States. Vaughn and Betty will spend the next two years in Alabama. Dr.' and Mrs. L. F. Kohler have returned from a vacation with their daughter, Madelyn Mash and three children, Becky, Franky and John Vincent, Vin-cent, in Scotsdale, Ariz. Mrs. Mash and children plan to spend a few weeks with the Kohlers. Ned Kohler and Miss Florence Englestead spent last Friday and Saturday with Dr. and Mrs. Kohler. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lang have returned from a two week vacation trip to Seattle, Canada, and Island Park, near Yellowstone. A 3c Rbert T. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis, was home - on 10-day leave from McGuire, N. J. He has now returned to his base. Mrs. Irene Stewart and Ross Thurston will be married Saturday, Sat-urday, July 22nd. Nora Ann Walker of Salt Lake was here over the week end at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Walker. Mrs. Nellie Eyre of Miners-ville Miners-ville is at the home of hel daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wunderlich. |
