Show MAY BE TIME TO CHECK SOCIAL SECURITY ACCOUNT It may be time once again to check on your social security account, ac-count, according to Kesler T. Powell, Pow-ell, manager of the Provo district office. Mr. Powell advises that most people now reaching age 65 need 4Vi years of earnings on their account. ac-count. (A man born in 1906 or later or a woman born in 1909 or later will need at least 10 years in the system). For disability, you need at least 5 years. If you will write your district social security office (address given giv-en below), they will furnish you a self-addressed card. Within a few days, a statement of your earnings will ibe sent you from the headquarters head-quarters in Baltimore, Maryland. According to Mr. Powell, it is advisable ad-visable for workers and self-employed people to cheek their accounts ac-counts every three years. This makes it possible to correct any record which might not be complete. com-plete. Your future benefit payments pay-ments will be based on earnings credited to your account. Employers and labor organizations organiza-tions may request a supply of the Wage Statement Request forms for their employes. There is no charge for this service.
