Show C S U Scholarship Info Mailed to High Schools Information about the College of Southern Utah scholarship program pro-gram for 1960-61 was mailed to all high schools last week by Prof. A. W. Stephenson, chairman of the scholarship committee. High school seniors outstanding in academic and leadership activities activi-ties are encouraged to make application appli-cation for the scholarships, according accord-ing to Prof. Stephenson. A number num-ber of tuition or cash scholarships have been made available by Cedar City businessmen and other friends of the college, he continued. Cash scholarships range from $50 to $200. "Recent surveys at CSU indicate in-dicate average expenses run between be-tween $500 and $650 for the year," he said. Scholarships are available in most of the undegraduate classes offered at CSU, including agriculture, agricul-ture, art, athletics, dramatics, business, busi-ness, education, home economics, trades and industry, music physical phy-sical education, biological science, and others. Application should be made in a specific area, accordng to Prof. Stephenson. Interested students may secure applications from the principal's office in their high school, or by writing to the Scholarship Committee Com-mittee at CSU. All applications must be filed with the college by April 1. |
