Aunt Beth Martin spent the Christmas holidays in sunny California, Cal-ifornia, visiting her nephew and others. She got quite homesick, however, and took the first Streamliner home. Charlcne Wheeler was one of those lucky girls. She and Earl Gillins became engaged over the holidays. Earl still has some time left in the service, but Charlcne says "I can wait." having the first girls' choice dance of the year. Instead of the girl asking the boy to the dance, the girl finds her favorite boy and sews, a patch on his pants. This he must wear until the dance Friday Fri-day night. At the dance the girl wears a niatc'v'ng patch. Also, be sure to wear a hat. Grab an old pan if you want to. This dance sounds like a lot of fun, so let's support the first dance of the new year. The Tigercttes and Cubettes have their costumes ready for the big night. At halftime activities for the "B" game the Cubettes will perform, and for the main game the Tigercttes will provide the halftime entertainment. o Brad Weston will take over Rodney Rod-ney Ogdcn's spot at press reporter. report-er. Those taking part will be: Sonia Munk, Terry Fisher, Marilyn Moore, Genevra Mcintosh, Danny Bedingfield, Dee Sly, Clark Rollins, Russell McGinn, Mc-Ginn, Bryan Sherwood, and Sally Williams. Kaye Tolley is student director. The play is under the faculty direction di-rection of Mr. Long. o Goodness, had a whole list of kids who were home for the holidays, holi-days, and here I've run out of room. The Student Council had a banquet ban-quet at the home of Brad Weston during the holidays. Mrs. Norton I and Mrs. Weston served the deli-I deli-I cious ham, potatoes, gravy and all the trimmings (with two desserts). des-serts). Guests of:honcr were Principal Prin-cipal and Mrs. Gordon Bradshaw and Mrs. Pauline Rummler. While we were trying to eat Mr. Weston was busy taking pictures. We all heartily agreed to Mr. Bradshaw's suggestion to have another banquet honoring the past student body presidents of Milford Mil-ford High. o The annual Christmas Formal was a huge success. In a setting of elaborate decorations and scads of people the dance proceeded. At the floor show prizes were given to the classes with the most outstanding decorations. Taking top honors this year was the Seventh Sev-enth Grade with the theme "Away In a Manger." Second place went to the Mighty Seniors, who decorated decor-ated to the theme of "We Three Kings of Orient Are." Last but not least, the Juniors won third prize with "Jingle Bells." We hope all our dances this year - o Also, Jackie Brinkman was one of the fortunate girls. Dick sent her a beautiful engagement ring, and although he won't be home till a later date, she's still very proud of her ring. o Mary Edwards and Gary Weston also chose the holidays for this important event. c Lots of luck to all cf you! o The day after Christmas Chris Berger underwent surgery in Salt Lake for his feet. However, he is Ihome now and in rarin' to be up and about. We hope you have a speedy recovery, Christ. o Kaye Tolley spent her Christmas Christ-mas in Dutch John with her sister sis-ter and kids. o Friday the Milford Tigers meet the Parowan Rams in our first league game of the season.
