Show IRevvs of Beaver Ibiob By JULIE ANN FARRER One of the outstanding social events of the season was held Wednesday, Nov. .27, in the gymnasium at Beaver High school when the "Preferred Man and Sweetheart Ball was jointly joint-ly sponsored by the Student 1 Council and the Beaveria Year Book Staff. David Reynolds was voted Preferred Man and Arleen Morgan Mor-gan was chosen as the Sweetheart Sweet-heart in a final selection for ' this honor. Ted Anderson, Fred Dalton, Kent Limb, Karl Miller Mil-ler were seniors running for this honor. Attendants for the! 1 Sweetheart wore Janet Carter, 1 i DyAnn Davis, Shirleen Davis i and Geniel Evans. Little Laurie Lowe and Craig Murdock were crown bearers in ) the beautifully decorated hall. l Jolene Lessing and Cullen Puf- fer sang the theme, Sweet- hearts," and the "Kateenas,"' a Sophomore dance and drill ' team, presented a number dur-1 dur-1 ing the floor show, ' FKA AND i FFA NEWS i The F H A and FFA held i meetings last Wednesday. The girls, under the direction of i DeVona Griffiths, made Christ-( Christ-( mas corsages. , The boys of the FFA hi4d a . ceremony to raise the "Green Hands" to the degree of "Chapter "Chap-ter Farmers." Mr. Farrer is ' advisor for this group. ' The cast, Mr. Borchert, and ' all students who helped in the production of "We Shook the 0 Family Tree," should be proud of the excellent performance of 4 Beaver High School's annual 1 play. I Janet Hoffheins, as the lead- I ing lady, did a magnificent job. T Joe Murdock, leading man, T showed his outstanding ability, f as did the other members in t the supporting cast.
