D-a v i d , Bown was selected as all-state tackle on the Deseret News class B high schools First Team. Gale Anderson was picked as Region 10 first-string fullback. This is a very fine honor for , Milford High School students and student body, as- these awards are not easy to come by and entail a tremendous amount of hard work and self control. An outstanding goal has been set by these boys for future M H S athletes. o Competition is rife among this season's basketball team candidates to start in the annual Alumni contest on Saturday, Nov. 30. Game time is 8 o'clock and everyone is invited. o "I Speak for Democracy" essay es-say contestants are anxiously waiting the announcement of candidates eligible for the oratorical ora-torical competition. This Jaycee sponsored activitiy is for all students, grades nine through 12, and speeches are to be judged on delivery, content, and originality. o Results of tryouts for the annual an-nual school play were disclosed Tuesday morning by Mr. Peter- Jerry Berger, Renee Norton, David Bown, Jean Norton, Diane Wilcock, Susan Williams, Sheila Dalton, Sonia Coleman and Wayne Hardy.
