Show Dr. D. A. Symond Opens New Medical Office Last Friday, Aug. 1, the Milford Medical opened offices of-fices in the Firmage Building on Main Street. Dr. D. A. Symond, . M.D., is the physician physi-cian and surgeon. The new medical office consists con-sists of a reception room, business bus-iness office, doctor's private office, X-ray room, laboratory, labora-tory, therapy room (for taking tak-ing EKGs and giving diathermy), diather-my), examination room, and pediatric room. Dr. Symond is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Medicine and interned at the U S Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, 111. He also completed a residency at King's County Hospital, Han-ford, Han-ford, Calif. He came to Milford Mil-ford in March, 1955, and until opening his own offices practiced medicine at the Beaver County Clinic in partnership part-nership with Dr. E. N. Davie. Dr. Symond has been active in civic affairs since coming to Milford, and is state chair- man of the Better Schools Committee, and a member of the Beaver County Board of Education. Last spring he was elected president of the Milford Junior Jun-ior Chamber of Commerce. Assisting Dr. Symond will be Mary Wiseman as business manager, floor nurse, and laboratory lab-oratory and X-ray technician. She formerly worked at a clinic in Idaho, and was em-' ployed at the Beaver County Clinic for more than four years. Rae Thompson is receptionist reception-ist and secretary for Dr. Symond. Sy-mond. She worked, as secretary secre-tary for a Salt Lake collection agency before accepting employment em-ployment at the Beaver County Coun-ty Clinic, where she worked for 4 '2 years. Mrs. Lillian Mayer is cus- todial manager. |
