Show , Mrs. Wayne Gillins on Sunday. An impromptu steak supper took place Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Karen Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carter, Air. and Mrs. , Dean Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall. Shervvin Wood underwent a hernia operation recently at the Beaver County Hospital. Conference visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall, Mrs. Ei'fie Marshall and Karl Truman. A joint family birthday party honoring Wilma Davis and Emma Davis at the latter's home, took place Saturday evening. Barbecued steak highlighted high-lighted the lovely refreshments. Eighteen adults were present to enjoy Tuxedo, and prizes went to Ross Marshall Marsh-all and Barbara Messinger. A tasty cake and ice cream were served. B. W. Nowers of Beaver visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall oh Stinday. c Mrs. Joy Kirk and three children of Reseda, Calif., were here in Minersville and Mil-ford Mil-ford last week, due to t'.c serious ser-ious illness of her tathe-, Andy Hollingshead, who is confined to the Beaver County Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Eyre visited vis-ited three days in the Los Angeles An-geles area last week. Enroute they stopped at Edwards Air Force base to call on Patricia Carter, sister of Mrs. Davis. Sim Murdock was confined to his bed last week suffering from intestinal flu. Mrs. Lucille Lamb and sons have moved to Pioche, where Mr. Lamb is employed, to make their home. Mrs. Bonnie Gray attended conference for Primary workers on Wednesday, in Salt Lake. Mrs. Lillian McKnight attended at-tended a rjegional conference for principals in Seattle, Wash., last week. Miss Eve McKnight, presently attending her second yepr at BVU, substituted at school for her mother. Mrs. Alta Kelsey is in Salt Lake visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Betty Peterson. Peter-son. Kenna Lou, who is staying stay-ing at the h'-- of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis, visited with her mother over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gentry and family of Beaver visited Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins. Mrs. Polly Baker is now at home after spending the winter in Ely, with her daughter and family. The play brought fron' Mil-ford Mil-ford and presented last Wednesday Wed-nesday night was a successful affair, judging from the comments com-ments and laughter in connection con-nection thereof the following day. Mrs. Lola Bohn substituted as librarian during the absence of Mrs. Marybelle Eyre. 1 J. Grant Wood and son of Henderson, Nev., were visitors in Minersville last week. Mrs. Wood and the other child were unable to come due to meaesles. April Dotson observed her fifth birthday on the 1st of April and the following friends were invited to a oarty: Max-ine. Max-ine. Mrs. Alba Gillins, who is ill, accorr.anied her daughter, Mrs Vella Stephensen of Cedar City, to the latter's home on Sunday.
