Our country is something like this It is made up of millions of individuals, or links, and when the strain becomes great it is always the weakest link that breaks. Even though we may seem small and unimportant to the nation we really do play a part in it. A country is no better or stronger than the people it is made up of. Therefore it is the duty and obligation of each and every one of us to be strong and to helo build up the strength of the country by being good citizens. citi-zens. What then is a good citizen.' One of the most important qualities qual-ities of a good citizen is to possess a genuine love for his country and for his fellow citizens so that he will really mant to build up the strength of the country and work for the betterment of it. He will not be concerned just for himself and his own wants and wishes, but for the country as a whole, for its future, and for the well-being of those around him. A good citizen will want the best .and will be willing to go all the way to get the best. He will have desireable ideals and will live up to them no matter what others say or think. He will be concerned con-cerned with all phases of government govern-ment and of law. He will study the country's political and economic econ-omic problems. He will study the background of political candidates candi-dates and make sure that he uses his vote to help get the people into office whom he knows will do a good job. He will urge other citizens to use their voting privilege. priv-ilege. Once the laws are made he will obey them wholeheaert-edly wholeheaert-edly and will encourage others to do so.
