Show FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 2013 WWW.WSUSIGNPOST.COM UPCOMING EVENTS Aug. 30 - Sept. 5, 2013 FRIDAY Aug. 30 ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY "Wildcat Wonderland" will feature booths, music and activities sponsored by campus organizations and departments from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., spanning the Moench Mall to the Stewart Bell Tower Plaza. This event is free. TASTE OF THE TOWN In conjunction with the Block Party, WSU will host "A Taste of the Town: Wildcat Style," featuring food samples from local restaurants, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the plaza north of the Stewart Library, south of Building 4. Cost is $5. FOAM PARTY The annual Foam Parly will be held in the pay lot adjacent to the Shepherd Union Building and Student Services Building. The event is free for students with their Wildcard and $3 without. The event is forages 18-plus and IDs are required. SATURDAY/ SUNDAY Aug. 31/Sept. 1 FARMERS MARKET The Historic 25th Street Farmers & Art Market fea- | tures produce, prepared foods, art, crafts and more. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, July 20 to Sept. 28, on Historic 25th Street. Admission is free. OGDEN RAPTORS The Ogden Raptors will take on the Orem Owlz at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Lindquist Field (2330 Lincoln Ave., Ogden). Call 801-393-2400 for tickets. SMART START SEMINAR The WSU Small Business Development Center will offer a "Start Smart" business start-up seminar, 6-8 p.m. in the Wattis Business Building, Room 218. This event is free. ART EXHIBIT N WSU's Center for Community Engaged Learning will present "HARBOR," an art exhibit featuring images captured as part of the High-Altitude Reconnaissance Balloon for Outreach and Research project, in the Shepherd Union Bridge Gallery. To visit is free. LEARN TO SKATE The Ice Sheet will begin a six-week skating program for all ages and abilities, starting at 5:45 p.m. at the Ice Sheet (4390 Harrison Blvd.). Participation costs $40. WILDCAT CENTER OPENING SEPTEMBER 11 Completion ofthe Wildcat Center for Health Education and Wellness is fast approaching. Minor construction delays have caused us to move the opening date back to Wed, September 11th. We understand that this puts an inconvenience on students, faculty, staff, and community, but feel that the extra time provides us the ability to ensure everything is perfect. The renovation puts a fresh look on health, education, wellness, and recreation.
