MAID WORK In the Yellowstone National fix If fxur laved ctejO 4850 Harrison Blvd. 479-4120 NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF OPEN FORUM PUBLIC HEARING AND AVAILABILITY STUDY On the inporvementy of the intersection of State Route 108 and State Route 37 (Midland Drive at 4000 South) in Roy, Weber County Project No. STP-0108(15)12 The Utah Department of Transportation herewith advises all interested persons or groups that it proposes the improvement of the intersection of Sr-108 and SR-37 in Roy, Utah. The improvements proposed would re-align the offset east-weat legs of Sr-37, install a traffic signal, widen the roadway from two to five lanes with the addition of a left turnmedian and right turn lanes in all directions and curb gutter and sidewalk. Traffic islands will be used to direct right turning traffic, controlled by a stop sign, from 4000 South and onto Midland Drive. The typical cross section of approximately 50 feet will extend from the center of the intersection in each direction for a distance of approximately 250 feet. Beyond this distance the roadway width will taper between 3.3 feet and 9.9 feet on each side of the road. No relocation of residences or businesses will be required. The governing officials of Weber County and Roy City are aware of this project. The public is herewith advised that an open Forum Public Hearing conducted by the Utah Department of Transportation to discuss the Environmental Study prepared for this project and the location and design features of the proposed improvements will be held on Tuesday, June 11,1 996 in the Roy High School cafeteria, 2150 West 4800 South in Roy, Utah where interested persons may call anytime between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm. At this time the public will have an opportunity to see an overview of the project considerations and will be able to consult several project experts in an open house environment. Information to be presented will include a discussion of the location and design alternatives considered. Appropriate illustrative material will be available for inspection. Provisions have been made to receive written or oral testimony pertaining to the proposal or to its social, economical, and environmental effects from all interested persons or groups. Such testimony will be published in the official transcript. Any person or group unable to attend the public hearing, but wishing to give testimony pertinent to the aforementioned project, may do so in writitng.
