Abegglen announced Friday Jie signing of Keith Murray to a letter of intent to play basketball at WSU next season. Murray, a 6 foot 9 inch, 205-pound post player out of Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game last season and was named First Team All-Conference. Wildcat golf team places sixth at Cougar Classic, qualifies for Western Regionals By CHARLIE REYNOLDS Signpost sports writer The Weber State University Wildcat golf team was breathing a bit easier Saturday evening after finishing in sixth place in the 31st annual Brigham Young University Cougar Classic in Provo. WSU's sixth place finish guaranteed the Wildcat golfers a spot in the NCAA Regional Championships.The Wildcats held off Big Sky rival Boise State and the University of Hawaii by postinga total scoreof 884 for the 54-hole tournament held at the Riverside Country Club in Provo. Both schools finished four strokes behind WSU and tied for eighth place.
