Part of this mental imaging routine is to control his adrenalin. "Fear will ruin you," he said. While adrenalin is one help to his riding, he said if he gets his adrenalin going too soon it can burn him out and take away from his performance. Style is a key aspect to his ability. While Lowe has won the average at four out of the seven rodeos so far this year with second place in two, he said he has drawn a good horse only once. Lowe says bareback bronc riding is the most physically demanding sport he knows of because so many aspects come into play. He has had his share of injuries in the past five years. He said chere have been times when he had a choice to continue his ride, get hurt and win or fall off, avoid getting hurt and lose. Many times he has chosen the injury. His head has ;n stepped on twice by horses and he is currently nding in spite of an injury to his foot. In December he broke his foot riding a practice horse which put him behind 12 weeks in P.R.C.A. competition. 1 owe said he owes much of his success to the help people have given him so far in his bareback riding career.
