What movies have you seen, what did you like about the movie and would you recommend it to others?, were questions asked of the following on campus: on-the-spot PhotosMfmrJiew Brown by Kevin Carrillo Contributing Writer Watch out Casper, the ghostbusters are on the loose! If you have problems with ghosts this summer, take heart. Ghostbusters may not rid you of your problem, but you will get a good laugh out of it. Ghostbusters is this summer's comedy smash. The story deals with three "scientists"(Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis) who have to freelance in battling with domestic spooks after being cut off from their government grant. No job and no fee is too big for our heroes who save New York and the world from complete destruction. Bill Murray turns in his finest performance of his career as Dr. Peter Venkman. Murray tends to run wild in most of his other films but in Ghostbusters he is in complete control. The result is a wild comedy performance with substance. Clearly, Murray is the star of this picture and he carries the role well. Dan Avkroyd plays second banana as the mellow member of the team. He almost upstages Murray with his off-the-cuff sense of humor. Sigourney Weaver is wonderful as the love interest who finds someone or something in her fridge. Two things make Ghostbusters a great flick. First, the acting. The entire cast was well chosen. There wasn't a single member who didn't contribute something to the film. Second, the film maintains a comic pace throughout its 105 minutes. There isn't a-lack of comedy anywhere. Even the climax is one of the funniest scenes I have ever witnessed. Ghostbusters is a comedy first and foremost. "Ghostbusters. That's the only one I've seen. It was funny wasn't that great wasn't as good as Stripes. I'm not classified as a Bill Murray fan, but he's funny." Troy Schumacher Junior "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I liked it. I thought it was better than Raiders of the Lost Ark.. If you don't like violence and it bothers you, I wouldn't go." Laurie Mueller WSC Staff (Bookstore) "The Natural. It's the only one I've seen all summer. It's a good story. The photography is fantastic. It's the same photographer that did Black Stallion. . There's a good plot with a surprise ending. It's the kind of movie the whole family can see." Lois Sager WSC visitor V A f A It ' "Ghostbusters. It was good times. It was fairly comical. Ive seen Caddyshack Stripes and he's (Bill Murray) at his best in this last one Ghostbusters)." Curtis Breitweiser Business Senator - K audi "Let's see. The Natural, Romancing the Stone. My husband had to force me to see that one Romancing the Stone) and I had to force him to see The Natural. I liked The Natural the best. Robert Redford is always at his best. Some parts were bigger than others. I clapped at the end -it made me happy. It's a fantastic show."
