Both the men's and women's athletic programs finished second in the running for the All-Sports Trophy in their respective conferences. The women's program improved from a sixth-place finish last year, while the men won the All-Sports Trophy the previous year. In fact, Weber State has won more All-Sports trophies than any other school in the Big Sky Conference. Weber has retired the trophy on two seperate ocassions by winning the title three consecutive years. Reno took first-place finishes in football, basketball, cross country, outdoor track and field, and golf to garner 85 points. Weber took first place in tennis, second in wrestling, third in golf and basketball to help them garner 61.5 points. Idaho State finished third in the All-Sports running with 56 points. Crompton was disappointed in the basketball finish as Weber had one of the best regular season records in the history of the conference, only to lose to Reno in the playoffs. After winning 12 straight golf titles, Weber was finally dethroned, again by Reno. Weber lost the wrestling title by only a quarter of a point.
