Show Signpost Friday, June 1, 1984 3 Ogden Republicans Sponsor Gubernatorial Candidates On June 7, 1984, the republican gubernatorial candidates will gather at the old Tanner Clothing Store, 24th St. and Washington, for an informal "meet the candidates" session at 7:30 p.m. The "Young Republicans at Weber State', along with the Weber County Republicans, will sponsor candidates Norm Bangerter; speaker of the house, Dan Marriott; Washington representative from the Second Congressional District, Bob Wright; attorney at law, Karl Snow; senator, and Laura Furgeson; Salt Lake businesswoman. The candidates will express their views on current problems and then answer questions from the audience. The state delegates from Weber County will also be present at the meeting. Bruce Richeson, spokesman for Toung Republicans at Weber State', said "It should be an informative evening and lots of fun." Anyone who has any questions concerning the meeting can contact Richeson at 392-1844. Quick Copy Center Relocates by Chris Larsen Staff Reporter The Quick Copy Center, formerly located in the basement of the Administration Building, will be relocated later this summer in the main lobby of the library. Gary Hidden, who is the new director of printing services, said the copy center will be relocated to give students the opportunity to use a full copy center in a centrally located area on campus. The copy center will make available some self-service machines, along with other copy machines run by an attendent. The Quick Copy Center will be open the same hours as the library for the students' convienience. Hidden said the printing servies are planning to equip the copy center with the most "state of the art" machines available. Spiral binding will also be made available to students. The Quick Copy Center is designed to be very competitive of off-campus copy centers. Protzman Serves College Board Grant Protzman, associate director of the Department of Campus Life at Weber State College, has been appointed Utah Unit Coordinator for the Far West Region of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), according to Max V. Vest, chairman of the NACA Board of Directors.Protzman will be responsible for regional events sponsored by NACA, the largest and most comprehensive educational, trade and professional service association in campus activities.Protzman's prior NACA involvement included serving as Educational Coordinator, Conference Educational Sessions Coordinator, and Coordinator of Leadership Educational Sessions. He has also authored several articles appearing in Programming magazine. Protzman was named Man of the Year at Utah State University and Student Services Employee of the Year at Weber State College. Additionally, he was listed as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America and received the Outstanding Service Award from the Associated Students of Weber State College. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Utah State University, a master's in management from CaliforniaAmerican University, a master's in motivation analysis from the University of Northern Colorado, and is a A.D.D. candidate at the University of Northern Colorado.
